We believe in the power of outdoor adventure to build, strengthen, and transform positive life outcomes for all. Like all things, it cannot be divorced from the socio-political and environmental contexts it plays within.
Our understanding of the present and historic barriers to safe, expansive outdoor activity enables us to provide high-impact programming rooted in racial and economic justice and built to endure.
In Practice
We partner with schools and youth-serving organizations to curate outdoor experience both within and beyond several Chicago neighborhoods. Through in-school, afterschool, and off-site programs, young people—especially those facing systemic barriers to outdoor access—reclaim their relationship to the natural wonders within their communities and within themselves.
