Catching Up With CAT: Afterschool Adventures

Hi everyone, welcome back to Catching Up with CAT. This is Noah.

This week I spent some time after school at Saucedo, where we learned about animals and how their paws, hooves, talons, and feet help them survive in the wild. It sparked thoughtful conversations about how each animal’s body is built for what it needs to run, climb, dig, or fly. The group at Saucedo is quiet, but every week they open up a little more. It has been rewarding to see their personalities begin to show and to hear the insight they bring to our discussions.

One of the participants shared that she loves camping, except for the no Wi-Fi part. It made everyone laugh, and when it came time to choose next week’s activity, she firmly said camping was off the list since she had already done it. Instead, we are going to spend some time exploring the stars. I am looking forward to seeing how this group connects to the night sky. The curiosity that comes from looking up and wondering what is out there always brings out something special.
